To demonstrate my noobness my first question is if the prepared file is indeed not suitable for use with i386/i686 systems (I'm running the i386 arch of CentOS)?Īssuming that this is the case (as the file name contains x86_64 which I assume indicates only for use with 64 bit systems). The solutions uses a driver disk stored by ELRepo DUP_cciss_el7_1_x86_64.iso. (Installation using Conga shows error in message during reboot cycle.). And when i setup by bios follow step of check point, it is not. I use usb some vendor (kingston, adata) and DVD driver but cannot setup in Intelligent Provisioning mode of server. Dear all, I have a server HP D元60 Gen 10 but i cannot setup CheckPoint Security Management R80.30 on it.

This controller is not supported (by RH) anymore by the current hpsa-driver which is be the replacment vor the older cciss-driver in rh7, centos 6.5 works fine. Setup CheckPoint Security Management R80.30 on HP D元60 Gen 10. sie/class/hardware Fix recognizition of cciss driver by adding PCI. Resolves: rhbz429187 - Fix handling of CCISS devices when installing to the MBR. Possible use of driver for HP SmartArray P400 (cciss) i have her a couple of server (HP D元80 G5) with an SmartArray P400 Raid-controller. The solution made possible by toracat, fakemoth and TrevorH (and possibly others ) involves using the procedure and file listed here. setup Generate ISO 19770-2 Software Tags (swtags) during installation of SysInfo. The easy solution to let the hpsa driver use the SmartArray by passing the options "hpsa_simple_mode=1" and "hpsa_allow_any=1" does not work as the card only works with the cciss driver.

However I wanted to try to install CentOS7 as people have successfully done so here and here and I'm looking for a learning curve (although this one might be a bit too steep but I'll try anyway). CentOS version 6 does have the driver and all works fine. The latter failed as there are no cciss drivers included for the SmartArray 5i that is present in the server so no drive to install to. I managed to install CentOS 6.7, after first trying 7 (1511), on my HP Proliant D元80 G3. Admittedly this is a bit of a luxury problem.
